Production of braided lines - Estonia
|
|
In our factory in Estonia we manufacture: Braided nylon – braided polyester –
braided spunpolyester – braided polypropylene – braided polyflex (PP film) –
braided polyethylene and braided Dyneema.
All these types are braided in the following varieties:
Crossbraided
Netbraided
Loosebraided
Spiralbraided
Flatbraided
Doublebraided
and these products can be delivered in a wide range of colours. |

Frydendahl quality control

Several times every day all operations, carried
out in the factory, are being checked by our controllers. Due to
this, we supply the best quality on the market. |

Nylon Polyamid (PA)
|
- Nylon is resistant to most chemicals and by using UV
stabilized nylon,
one has got a good sun and weather-resistant product.
- Nylon has a very high breaking strength and large
elasticity.
- Braided nylon lines are produced of polyamide
multifilaments.
- Breaking elongation: 50% // Melting point: 250 degrees //
Specific gravity: 1,14 grs/cm3
- Nylon is produced crossbraided, netbraided, flatbraided,
doubletbraided and spiralbraided.

Polypropylene (P.P.)
|
|
Braided polypropylene lines are soft and easy-to-handle products PP is UV
stable and thus weather resistant
PP lines has good floating abilities, small elongation and is a good
product easy to hold on to
There is almost no elasticity in PP which makes the lines very useful
Braided PP lines are manufactured from polypropylene filaments and PP can
be delivered in many colours
PP is resistant to chemicals
Elongation: 30% // melting point: 170° C // density: 0,91 g/cm³
Polypropylene is made as crossbraided, flatbraided and netbraided lines

Polyester (PE)
|
|
Braided polyesterlines are good and weather resistant products
Polyesterlines are very sun- and weather resistant and very suitable in
the production of sails, tarpaulins and many such products
Polyester is easy to handle at low temperatures
Polyester has great wearing strength
Polyester multifilament has a density bigger than water. Polyester is also
a product with high breaking strength. The standard colour is white, but we
are able to deliver in many other colours.
Polyester is acid proof
Elongation: 12-18% // Melting point: 258º C // density: 1,38 g/cm³
Polyester is produced as crossbraided, netbraided, flatbraided, doublebraided
and spiralbraided lines |

Braided P.P. Film
|
|
Braided polyflex, as PP multifilament, has a specific gravity of 0,91. This
makes it very suitable for manufacturing floatlines for fishing nets. Braided
PP film lines are very useful for many products in an industrial range.
The lines are used for e.g. flag lines, tow line and many others
PP film lines has a relatively high breaking strength, great wearing
strength and resistance to chemicals and sunlight
PP is not attacked by rot and chemicals
Braided PP film lines are manufactured by polypropylene splitfilm
filaments and the colours are usually blue or white, but by special order all
colours can be delivered
Elongation: app. 30% // Melting point: 170º C // density: 0,90 g/ cm³
PP film lines are only made as crossbraided

Polyethylene (P.E.T)
|
|
Braided polyethylene has the advantage of a great wearing strength and a smooth
surface, making the product ideal for manufacturing trawls.
PET lines are almost only used in the fishing industry, where it is used
when manufacturing and repairing trawls
PET is smooth, floatable and does not take in water
PET is not attacked by rot and chemicals
Braided polyethylene-lines is manufactured from monofilaments and the
colour is green as standard, but by special order all colours can be delivered.
Elongation: app. 33% // melting point: 130º C // density: 0,95 g/ cm³
PET lines are made as both netbraided and 3-strand

Trimline
|
 |
Trimline is a netbraided polyesterline with
core, used in yachting, particularly in optimist dinghies. The
line has very good wearing qualities and even after rough use
it is still fine and easy to work with. Because of its strength
Trimline is used for all sorts of purposes, e.g. internal flag
halyard in aluminium flagpoles. The Trimline is in stock from
Ø 2.0 mm to Ø 6.0 mm. It can also be delivered in any dimension
required by the customer. |
Chockcord – elastic cord
|
 |
Chockcord or elastic cord is manufactured
in sizes from Ø 3.0 mm to Ø 14.0 mm. Hau Nylon elastic cords
are usually made with an elongation of 25 % and has a very
high breaking strength. Elastic cord is used in yachting and
e.g. the tarpaulin, trailer- and tent industry. |
Doublebraided Standard Halyard
|

Standard halyard is manufactured as a doublebraided polyesterline
in dimensions from Ø 4.0 mm to Ø 20.0 mm. The line is very usable
and is particularly used in yachting as halyard. This means it is
used as guide for sail and spinnaker and for mooring.
Standard Halyard is manufactured on 16-br. machines.
The line is easy to splice and is also used widely in fishing
mainly as lace in trawling.
Standard Halyard is manufactured according
to Danish standards. Hau Nylon has more than 10 years of
experience in manufacturing yacht lines. |
Standard Sheet
|

Standard sheet is a doublebraided line manufactured on 16-br.
machines from spun polyester, which ensures a firm grip on the
line, and an interwoven polyester line. Using this combination
gives a high breaking strength.
Standard sheet is mainly used by yachters.
The standard stock listing is from Ø 6.0 to Ø 14.0 mm.
Standard sheet is available in many colours. |
Super Sheet
|
|
Super sheet is a doublebraided line manufactured from spun polyester on 24-br. machines, which ensures a firm grip on the line, and an interwoven polyester line. Using this combination gives a high breaking strength.
The manufacturing of super sheet ensures both a minimal elongation at break and that the line appears as “mute”, which makes it particularly good as spinnaker sheet, among others.
Super sheet is in stock from Ø 6.0 mm to Ø 12.0 mm. |
Doublebraided master halyard crossbraided polyester – white
w/tracer
|
|
Master halyard is manufactured as a
Doublebraided polyesterline on 24-br machines.
Master halyard can be delivered in sizes from Ø
8,0 mm to Ø 12,0 mm.
Master halyard is manufactured so the
elongation is minimal and the line is presented as “mute” and is
especially applicable in rough weather.
Produced according to Danish standards.
Hau Nylon has more than 10 years experience in manufacturing
yachtlines. |
Hau Dyneema – Hercules - netbraided polyester w/Dyneema
|
|
Hau Dyneema – Hercules is manufactured from
polyester / spunpolyester and Dyneema in 3 different braiding
operations. The outer braiding which is made from polyester is
manufactured on 32-br machines.
In sail sports Hau Dyneema – Hercules with the
very high breaking strength, is used as replacement for wire,
since Hau Dyneema is much easier to use than stainless steel wire.
Hau Nylon manufactures Hau Dyneema – Hercules
in many different dimensions and standard sizes in stock are from
Ø 8,0 mm to Ø 12,0 mm.
Hau Nylon has more than 10 years experience in
manufacturing yachtlines |
