The net type our customers are looking for depends of f.i. condition of bottom, tide, type of fish to be caught and many more things. In order to compare the different types of twine, we have placed all data of the common twine in the following comparison table.

Nylon multifilament nets

Fishing nets made from nylon multifilament twine, is a strong net which is gentle to nature. The net appears very soft with a specific gravity of 1.14 which makes it heavier than water. Due to this nylon multifilament net will catch many fish but also much from the bottom such as crabs.

Nylon monofilament net

Fishing nets made from nylon monofilament twine is a very popular net which can be used with much advantage for fishing in all waters. It is possible to produce the net as taut as the customer demands. The desired tautness varies from customer to customer and depends on which conditions the net is used under. Nylon monofilament nets have a very high fishing-capability and using mono nets usually means avoiding crabs etc. in the net.

Nylon monotwine net

Nylon monotwine nets are often produced with a tautness making the nets suitable for fishing in waters with many crabs. The twine being used for producing nylon monofilament 0.37 mm appears with a very sharp thread and thus giving it a very high fishing-capability.

Nylon multimono net

Nets made from nylon multimono twine appear as a strong net, suitable for fishing in all waters. The nets are made from nylon monofilament twine 0.20 mm also known as 1.5. Nylon multimonofilament twine is produced from (1,5x3) to (1,5x18). This means that with twine (1,5x3) 3 pcs 0.20 monotwine threads are being twisted a little bit. To make the twine thicker the desired numbers of monotreads are added. Thus twine (1,5x5) is made from 5 pcs 0.20 mono twine being twisted a little. Multimono nets are very popular and treat the catch very gently.

Nylon Supermultimono net

Fishing nets made from nylon monofilament twine appears as an incredible soft fishing net which is treating the catch very gently. The twine is made from nylon monotwine 0.11 mm also know as 0.5. The thickness of the twine is varied the same way as nylon multimonotwine by how many threads are being twisted together.

Nylon multimono nets are very fishing-capable and treat the catch gently, however this type tend to catch some crabs.

Premounted mono trammelnet

A complete mounted trammelnet consists of three elements: floatline, fishing net with 2 walls and sinking line, which is mounted together making a fishing-capable net.
In order to make the mounting easier, nets and walls are delivered premounted from suppliers in the far-east.
Premounting means assembling the net and the walls the way the customer has ordered – either with tape or put together on a line which is called: Daco type.
Frydendahl holds the patent on the Daco type trammelnet in several countries. On Frydendahl’s factory in Estonia about 30,000 nets are mounted a year.

1. Stripping of used fishing nets and remounting on both small and large sewing machines.

Handmounting of trammelnets

In our factory in Malaysia – Appronet – manufactures handrigged trammelnets. Of course quality controle is done frequently and the complete nets are top quality.

Time of delivery for handrigged nets are 2-6 months – so book your order now for the season.

Walls

Machinemounted leisuretime fishing nets

Special rules apply for fishing nets used by leisure time fishermen. This goes for both mesh-size, height and length of the mounted net. We have made sure the products are made according to the rules and can offer:

Plaice/flounder nets, salmon/trout nets, float-nets, herring-nets, pollan-nets and trammelnets.

Leisure time fishermen in Denmark can from July 1 to November 15 (both days incl.) only use nets that are < 65 mm (130 mm fullmesh) or > mm (100 mm fullmesh). This means that mesh-sizes are between 50 and 65 mm are not allowed in this period.
